West Bromwich Albion boss Steve Clarke has revealed that he is hoping to keep midfielder Youssouf Mulumbu at the club.
The 26-year-old has excelled at The Hawthornes since arriving from French giants Paris Saint-Germain, initially on loan, in 2009.
His performances have seen him linked with a move to the likes of Fiorentina this summer, but Clarke has made it clear that he is a player he would like to keep in a bid to maintain his side's improvement.
"Youssouf has been excellent for us since I have been here and is one of the players we want to keep," Clarke said.
"I think come the summer the ones that we have to keep - that I want to keep - will still be at the club."
Mulumbu has one year left on his current contract, although the Baggies are hoping to convince him to sign a new deal.
