The Football Association fines West Ham United £30,000 for breaching anti-doping regulations.

West Ham United have been fined by the Football Association for breaching anti-doping rules after failing to give the whereabouts of players three times in the last 12 months.

The Hammers, who put the breach of regulation down to an "administrative" error, must now hand over £30,000 to the governing body.

West Ham were given time to respond to the charge and have accepted their punishment, joining Manchester City - fined £35,000 last year - in falling short when it comes to updating the FA on the whereabouts of their players.

An FA spokesman said: "West Ham United have been fined £30,000 after admitting a charge of failing to ensure that their club whereabouts information was accurate three times within 12 months, contrary to The FA's anti-doping regulations."

West Ham are 14th in the Premier League table following last weekend's 4-1 loss at Swansea City.
