Steve McClaren and Owen Coyle are reported to be the leading candidates to succeed Roberto Martinez as manager of Wigan Athletic.
The out-of-work pair have been interviewed by Latics owner Dave Whelan, who is hoping to make an appointment before the end of the week.
"We will be finished interviewing today (Wednesday)," the Daily Mail quotes the 76-year-old as saying.
"I've told the ones I've already spoken to that there will be a decision made tomorrow (Thursday)."
Martinez left the DW Stadium after four years in charge to take over the vacant post at Everton.
