Wigan Athletic chairman Dave Whelan has claimed that the club could name their new manager next weekend.
The Latics are currently without a boss following Roberto Martinez's recent departure to Everton.
"The interviews for me start tomorrow (Sunday)," Whelan told Sky Sports News. "I've got probably 10 to 12 interviews over the next few days.
"I'm not one to mess about and I hope I can get a decision made by next weekend.
"I am talking to a lot of great, great managers. Hopefully I can choose the right one, because choosing the right one is not easy."
Wigan will start next season in the Championship after failing to avoid relegation from the Premier League during the last campaign.
