Diego eyes new Wolfsburg contract

Wolfsburg playmaker Diego is keen to remain with the German club beyond June 2014 when his current contract runs out.

Brazilian playmaker Diego has revealed that he wants to sign an extension to his contract with Wolfsburg.

The 27-year-old's current contract with the German club runs out in June 2014.

"Yes, I am working towards [extending the current contract]," he said.

"First of all, we have to make sure that we are successful in the current season, but if we reach our goals, the future will be good as well."

Diego returned to Wolfsburg in the summer after playing on loan for Atletico Madrid last season.
