Hull FR thrash Hull Kingston Rovers

Hull FC cruise to an emphatic 46-20 win over rivals Hull Kingston Rivals in Super League's Magic Weekend at St James' Park.

Hull FC cruised to an emphatic 46-20 win over local rivals Hull Kingston Rovers in Super League's Magic Weekend at St James' Park this evening.

Hull FC looked the stronger of the two sides from the start, with Kirk Yeaman opening the scoring just seven minutes in, before Fetuli Talanoa and Gareth Ellis also crossed the line.

Josh Mantellato and Scott Dixon both burst over for the Robins before the break, keeping Rovers in contention at half time, and they each added a second shortly after the restart.

Their local rivals responded quickly, though, with Talanoa adding two more in the second half to complete his hat-trick, while Yeaman weaved his way through late on to seal the rout.

The win leaves Hull eighth in the table, two places above their neighbours.
