Stanislas Wawrinka has suffered an early exit from the Cincinnati Open at the hands of Tommy Robredo.
It took just over two hours for the Spaniard to come out on top over three evenly-matched sets and book a third-round clash with Tomas Berdych.
Robredo created three break points in the first set and took the just one, which was good enough to take the first set 7-5.
Wawrinka hit back in the second set 6-3 to level the match, but he could not stop the 31-year-old from taking the third by the same score.
