AC Milan defender Philippe Mexes has agreed a new 12-month contract at San Siro.
The French centre-back's previous deal expired at the end of last season, which permitted him to join another club on a free transfer.
However, following negotiations with Milan officials, the 33-year-old has accepted an offer to spend another year with the Serie A club.
