Theo Walcott has claimed that Arsenal "need" to mount a Premier League title challenge next season following their latest FA Cup triumph.
The Gunners won the competition for a second consecutive time on Saturday by hammering Aston Villa 4-0 at Wembley Stadium.
With their last league title coming back in 2004, Walcott believes that it is about time that Arsenal were crowned champions of England again.
"I have the belief in this team and the manager does," he told Sky Sports News. "Each player has to trust in each other and this has got to be a stepping stone to challenge for the title - that's the ultimate goal. We need to do it for these fans because they have been waiting a long time."
Walcott found the net in the FA Cup final to take his tally to seven goals in 21 games this season.
