Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed that Theo Walcott has sought advice from club legend Thierry Henry over recent months.
In recent weeks Walcott has been deployed as a central striker and his performances have drawn comparisons from a number of pundits to former French international Henry.
Discussing the likeness between the pair, Wenger believes that one of Walcott's goals against Newcastle United last night shows that his game has been influenced by Henry.
"I believe Theo takes advice from Thierry, of course, because Thierry has played in that position," Wenger told the club's official website. "But Thierry arrived yesterday in training, he didn't practise with us, but it's good when you need to talk to someone who has played in there. [Theo's first goal] was a Thierry-type goal."
Walcott has scored 14 goals in all competitions last season.
