Arsene Wenger: 'Diego Costa injury is not obvious'

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger admits that he doesn't believe stories concerning Chelsea striker Diego Costa's hamstring injury.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has admitted that he doesn't believe the stories concerning Chelsea striker Diego Costa's hamstring injury.

The former Atletico Madrid man retained his place in the starting XI against the Gunners this afternoon as he starts his third game in the space of eight days.

Wenger told reporters before the game: "Honestly, when you see him play it is not obvious [that he has an injury].

"He has had a problem with his hamstring for a long time and we saw that in the Champions League final but when I have seen him recently, it is difficult to guess that he has a hamstring problem."
