River Plate midfielder Exequiel Palacios confirms that he has received interest from Arsenal and Real Madrid.

River Plate midfielder Exequiel Palacios has acknowledged that Arsenal have expressed an interest in his signature.

Palacios has made a positive impact during his early games with River Plate, and it has already led to international recognition with Argentina.

Real Madrid have been linked with Palacios - and the admiration has been confirmed by the 20-year-old - but the player has also said that Arsenal are keen on signing him this summer.

Palacios is quoted by The Mirror as saying: "I'm proud clubs like Real Madrid and Arsenal are interested in me."

The Gunners would allegedly have to meet an £18m release clause in order to sign Palacios.
