Barcelona have agreed to take a team to South Africa to face Mamelodi Sundowns later this month.
The Catalan giants have already wrapped up the La Liga title with three matches to spare, but an extra fixture has now been added to the club's schedule.
Barcelona have said that they will send a strong squad to face the top team in South Africa, with the game to be played at the FNB Stadium in Soweto on May 16.
Sundowns president Patrice Motsepe told Metro FM: "The plan was to make the announcement on Monday in Spain. Somehow it got into the public domain and there has been so many enquiries.
"This is the year of the Nelson Mandela Centenary year. We have partnered with the Nelson Mandela Foundation."
The contest comes between Barcelona's trip to Levante on May 13 and the final fixture of the season at home to Real Sociedad on May 20.
