Bayern Munich forward Thomas Muller ruled out for three weeks

Bayern Munich forward Thomas Muller faces a three-week spell on the sidelines after sustaining a thigh injury.

Bayern Munich forward Thomas Muller has been ruled out of the club's next four fixtures due to a thigh injury.

Muller had endured a poor start to the season but under the guidance of new boss Jupp Heynckes, the 28-year-old has contributed one goal and two assists in three matches.

However, Muller faces being sidelined for at least the next three weeks after rupturing a thigh muscle during Saturday's 1-0 victory at Hamburg.

The injury means that the German international will not feature in back-to-back fixtures with RB Leipzig, as well as the trip to Borussia Dortmund on November 4.

The attacker will also be absent when Bayern make the trip to Celtic in the Champions League, where a victory would assure the Bundesliga side a place in the last 16 of the competition.
