Nigel Reo-Coker tells his Bolton teammates to stop letting themselves down.

Bolton midfielder Nigel Reo-Coker has said that his teammates must stop letting themselves down.

The Trotters, who were beaten 2-1 at home to local rivals Wigan last weekend, have slipped back into the relegation places after a promising run in which the club climbed up from the bottom of the table.

"I'm not going to sugarcoat it," he said. "We let ourselves down big time and we are in a relegation fight.

"It was a local derby and we needed that extra passion. But we have to be honest to ourselves and say we lacked that bit of grit.

"We need to produce against the teams around us."

Meanwhile, Bolton travel to Millwall this weekend in the FA Cup fifth round.
