Cardiff City are closing in on a deal to sign Tottenham Hotspur defender Steven Caulker, according to a report.
The 21-year-old spent the 2011-12 season on loan at the Bluebirds' rivals Swansea City and impressed during their debut campaign in the Premier League.
Caulker was in and out of the team at Spurs last year, and Cardiff manager Malky Mackay wants to add the defender to his squad and hopes that a fee in the region of £7.5m will be enough to secure his signature, reports The Mirror.
Mackay has stated that he wants to add "two or three" players to his side before the start of the season on August 17.
