Chelsea manager Rafael Benitez has insisted that Frank Lampard remains fully committed to the club.
The 34-year-old midfielder, who is poised to make his 500th Premier League start against Aston Villa on Sunday, is out of contract at the end of the season.
Lampard has been linked with potential moves to Los Angeles Galaxy and Monaco, but Benitez believes that he still has a big role to play at Stamford Bridge.
"Frank is an important player for us," said Benitez. "His quality and experience are something we can use to help the team and we know he will score goals as well.
"For anybody to play a lot of games in the Premier League is not easy. To play 500 is massive, a big feat.
"My job is to bring the best from every player but Frank is a great player and fully committed to the club."
Lampard has scored three goals in eight league appearances this season.
