Chelsea confirm sale of Eden Hazard's brother

Chelsea allow Thorgan Hazard to sign for Bundesliga club Borussia Monchengladbach on a permanent contract.

Borussia Monchengladbach have completed the permanent signing of Thorgan Hazard.

The 21-year-old, who is the younger brother of Chelsea talisman Eden, joined the West Londoners at the same time as his sibling back in the summer of 2012.

However, he was immediately loaned out to SV Zulte Waregem for two campaigns, before he linked up with Monchengladbach at the start of this season.

The Bundesliga outfit have now secured the winger's services on a five-year contract, meaning that Hazard junior failed to make a single senior appearance for the Blues.

"In recent months Thorgan has shown how big a talent he is. We're delighted to have signed him and that he has chosen to spend the coming years playing for us," sporting director Max Eberl told the club's official website.

Chelsea have confirmed that they have negotiated a buy-back clause for the Belgium Under-21 international as a part of the deal.
