Andreas Christensen to return to Borussia Monchengladbach?

Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen could return to Borussia Monchengladbach on loan in January, according to a report.

Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen could reportedly return to Borussia Monchengladbach on loan during the January transfer window.

Christensen, 22, made 40 appearances in all competitions for Chelsea during the 2017-18 campaign.

The Denmark international has not made a single Premier League appearance for the Blues this term, however, with David Luiz and Antonio Rudiger both ahead of him in the pecking order.

According to The Express, Gladbach are keen to re-sign Christensen on loan at the start of 2019, with the German outfit currently putting plans in place.

Christensen's father, who is also his agent, claimed in October that the defender will leave permanently in January unless the situation changes.

The player was on loan at Gladbach between 2015 and 2017, making 82 appearances for the club.
