Chivas USA 0-2 San Jose Earthquakes

San Jose Earthquakes beat Chivas USA 2-0 away from home in the MLS thanks to goals from Chris Wondolowski and Alan Gordon.

San Jose Earthquakes have defeated Chivas USA 2-0 away from home in Major League Soccer.

The match started on a note of excitement, with both sides creating chances and coming close to scoring.

It was the visitors who broke the deadlock with five minutes left for the half-time interval when they were awarded a penalty.

John Valencia's challenge on Alan Gordon inside the Chivas area saw the referee point to the spot, and Chris Wondolowski made no mistake from 12 yards.

San Jose doubled their advantage five minutes into the second half when Wondolowski released Gordon, and he shot home from close range.

Both sides crafted chances for the remainder of the game, but failed to add to the scoreline.
