John Gregory has been mooted for a return to English club management with League Two outfit Crawley Town.
The Reds, currently 15th in the table, are searching for a successor to Richie Barker, who was relieved of his duties last Wednesday after going seven games without a win.
According to the Daily Mail, Gregory will be the man tasked with getting their season back on track.
The 59-year-old was sacked by Queens Park Rangers in October 2007 and has spent the past four years coaching in Israel and Kazakhstan.
However, it has not been a successful period for the former Aston Villa boss, who was relegated with Maccabi Ahi Nazareth in 2010, before resigning from FC Ashdod a year later as they lay in danger of the drop.
He did manage to save FC Kairat from relegation, although he was fired by the Kazakh side in December 2011.
