Steve Parish rules out Tony Pulis return

Steve Parish admits that Tony Pulis is unlikely to return as manager of Crystal Palace, despite odds shortening on the Welshman making a shock u-turn.

Crystal Palace co-chairman Steve Parish has said that former manager Tony Pulis is "highly unlikely" to return to Selhurst Park.

Pulis left the Eagles last week after becoming frustrated by the club's failure to sign key transfer targets this summer.

"It's highly unlikely Tony will be coming back," Parish told talkSPORT. "I've seen the odds but I'd put them a lot longer than 3/1.

"Finding the right person isn't easy but I hope to have someone for the early part of this week.

"Four managers in four years is not a record I thought I would have. I have to get the right manager who will stick around a bit longer."

Palace suffered a 3-1 defeat against West Ham United this afternoon.
