The Football Association has launched an appeal against the recent suspensions that were handed to England's Under-21 duo Steven Caulker and Thomas Ince.
The pair were banned for their behaviour towards the end of England's controversial clash against their Serbian counterparts in October of last year.
Tottenham Hotspur defender Caulker was handed a two-match suspension, while Blackpool winger Ince was ordered to miss one game.
However, the FA believe that the punishment was unjust and as a result they have informed the European governing body that they intend to challenge the verdict.
No date has been set for when the case will be heard.
