Tim Cahill insists that Everton's form will become much more consistent.

Tim Cahill is confident that Everton will put their inconsistent form behind them and come good this season.

After a dismal run of six defeats in seven matches in all competitions, the Toffees halted their poor form with back-to-back league wins over Wolves and Bolton.

The resurgence was put to an end with the 1-0 defeat to Stoke at the weekend and the Merseyside club now face a tough run of fixtures that include games against Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea.

"The run of games was always going to be difficult," said the Australian midfielder.

"For me and the club it is about being consistent and maintaining that and trying to see where we finish.

"We nearly always come good all the time so it is more about taking it one game at a time and making sure we stay focused on what is important and that is basically getting results - whether it is a draw or a win."

Tim Cahill joined Everton from Millwall in 2004.
