Roberto Martinez: 'We will stick to our style of play'

Roberto Martinez says that Everton's style of play will not change, no matter who the opposition are.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez has said that his side will stick to their style of play no matter who their opponents are.

Since moving to Goodison Park, Martinez has seen his side lose just once in the Premier League, and with a home tie against Merseyside rivals Liverpool up next, the Spaniard has said that his side's focus will not alter.

"For me it's important that we can play eye to eye against the top four clubs," he told the Liverpool Echo.

"It's not good enough to let them take the leading role and simply say 'we're going to be solid and hard to beat, then we'll take opportunities'.

"We're not like that. I want us to be ourselves in any situation against any team and I was pleased we did it in the second half at Crystal Palace."

Everton currently sit in sixth place in the Premier League table.
