Roberto Martinez keen to make signings

Everton manager Roberto Martinez reveals his plans to make a couple of signings before the end of the transfer window.

Everton boss Roberto Martinez has admitted that he is still looking to bring in a couple of new players before the end of the transfer window.

Toffees supporters have been vocal in their desire to see new faces arrive before the September 1 deadline, and Martinez has revealed that he plans to make additions to his squad before the close of the window.

"From window to window, we have to go through different challenges, and we have always come through it strongly," he told BT Sport. "We still need two new faces and we are working hard to do that.

"I think it's very wrong, you're going to get speculation and constant questions and I think it's wrong when you have games.

"This squad finished fifth the season before last and we had that experience of Europe last season so this squad can grow."

Everton picked up their first win of the season after they beat Southampton 3-0 on Saturday.
