Everton midfielder Ross Barkley has claimed that he is not distracted by the possibility of being in the England squad for next year's World Cup.
The 19-year-old's only senior cap to date came in September during the Three Lions' victory over Moldova in World Cup qualifying.
Despite being selected for the upcoming friendlies against Chile and Germany, Barkley insists that he is just focusing on his club football for now.
"It's every youngster's dream to play in the World Cup," he told Everton's official website. "But I'm not really thinking about it at the moment - hopefully if I play well for Everton then I will push into that team and get to Brazil."
Barkley has scored two goals in 12 games for Everton so far this season.
