Chinese Super League outfit Hebei Fortune are reportedly preparing to launch an £11.7m bid for Fenerbahce forward Robin van Persie in the January transfer window.
The experienced Dutchman, who joined Fener from Manchester United in the summer of 2015, revealed last month that he was considering a return to the Premier League to finish his career.
However, according to Fotomac, Chinese club Hebei Fortune are prepared to offer the 33-year-old a substantial wage to become the latest player to trade European football for China.
The Dutchman started his professional career with Feyenoord, before joining Arsenal in 2004, where he spent eight seasons, scoring 132 goals in 277 appearances.
Van Persie then moved on to Man United, helping the club win the Premier League title in his first season, before leaving for Fenerbahce in the summer of 2015 after falling out of favour under Louis van Gaal.
This season, the forward has scored just once in eight appearances for his Turkish club.
