Liverpool team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Sheffield United

Sports Mole rounds up Liverpool's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's Premier League fixture with Sheffield United.

Liverpool head into their Premier League fixture with Sheffield United looking to record their seventh successive Premier League win of the season.

While the Merseyside giants lost out to Napoli in the Champions League last week, they have put together a perfect record on the domestic front, giving them a five-point advantage at the top of the standings.

Manager Jurgen Klopp would have also been delighted to see a much-changed team get the better of MK Dons in the EFL Cup on Wednesday night.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest injury and suspension news for the Reds ahead of their trip to Bramall Lane on Saturday afternoon.

Alisson

Status: Out
Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: October 20 (vs. Manchester United)

While Alisson has recently revealed that he is close to returning to full fitness after a calf injury, Klopp last suggested that the goalkeeper would not represent the first team until after the October international break.

Divock Origi

Status: Slight doubt
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: September 28 (vs. Sheffield United)

Origi would have hoped to have featured against MK Dons in midweek, only for Klopp to take no risks on the forward after an ankle injury. However, the Belgium international could return to the bench for Saturday's fixture in Yorkshire.

Nathaniel Clyne

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Having sustained a serious knee injury during pre-season, Clyne will play no part for Liverpool until the early months of next year.

Sadio Mane

Status: Slight doubt
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: September 28 (vs. Sheffield United)

Mane picked up a dead leg during last weekend's triumph at Chelsea, effectively ruling him out of contention for the EFL Cup on Wednesday night. However, Klopp has already suggested that the winger should be available for their upcoming Premier League game.

LIVERPOOL'S SUSPENSION LIST

Liverpool have no players suspended for the meeting with the Blades.
