Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has claimed that midfielder Emre Can is progressing in his recovery from a back injury.
Last week, Klopp suggested that Can would play no part of the remainder of the campaign, and with the German out of contract during the summer, it could have meant the end of the player's time at Anfield.
However, Klopp has now indicated that the 24-year-old has started to show signs of improvement and could still feature before the end of the season.
At a press conference, the 50-year-old told reporters: "I said it will be difficult for him to play again this season. That's when our season was ending mid-May.
"Since then Emre has developed well. He is in good hands at the moment. He's not overly happy with the situation but is positive. I'm not sure if it's true he won't be out for the season now. He's definitely out for Bournemouth."
Can has been frequently linked with a transfer to Juventus ahead of the next campaign.
