Jurgen Klopp reveals "special arrangements" for Philippe Coutinho

Jurgen Klopp admits to being upset with the timing of the international break, which has forced Liverpool into making "special arrangements" to get players back on time.

Jurgen Klopp has revealed that he has been forced to take action to ensure Philippe Coutinho remains fresh for Liverpool's meeting with Leicester City next weekend.

The 24-year-old helped Brazil to a 3-0 win over Ecuador in Quito on Thursday and is now preparing for Wednesday's meeting with Colombia in Manaus.

Klopp is unhappy with the timing of the first international break of the season, which he claims has forced him into making "special arrangements" to get star man Coutinho back in time for Saturday's Anfield clash.

"I don't get frustrated by things I cannot change," he told the Liverpool Echo. "Actually, I don't think any manager in this moment is happy about the international break.

"For Coutinho, he is coming back Thursday morning at 9am and only because we make a few special arrangements with flights otherwise he would come Thursday night so nobody wants this.

"But we cannot change so why should I complain? Not to change. It's not the best moment in the season for splitting the squad again."

Coutinho has scored two goals in Liverpool's first three games of the Premier League season, both coming in the 4-3 win over Arsenal on the opening weekend.
