Sergio Aguero has been hailed as the "most complete" player in the Premier League by his club manager Manuel Pellegrini.
The Manchester City boss believes that, while there might be better strikers, Aguero's talent makes him the best that the top flight has to offer.
"I never said he's the best striker in the Premier League. I said he's the best player in the Premier League," The Mirror quotes Pellegrini as saying.
"Of course I still think that - there may be better strikers, but not better players. He's the most complete player."
Pellegrini also compared his striker to Liverpool's Luis Suarez, adding that Aguero has more to his game and has time to get even better.
"He's different [to Suarez]. Suarez is a very important striker, but I think Sergio has more parts to his game," he added.
"Sergio is only 25, so of course he can improve. This year he has improved a lot, he's always a top player and he always scores goals.
"But what he has added is working for the team without the ball and that's very important."
Aguero has scored 10 league goals so far this season.
