Liverpool youngster Ben Woodburn has said that he wants to gain "as many minutes" as he can on the pitch, adding that he is happy to play wherever required.

The 18-year-old, who scored his first goal for the Reds in an EFL Cup win over Leeds United last season, burst onto the international stage with Wales earlier this season.

Woodburn told reporters, however, that he is willing to participate in any capacity to earn experience at Liverpool.

"Obviously every player wants to play football, but at the minute I think it's just to play in any team I can do, whether [that's] Under-19s, [the] first team, Under-23s. I think it's just right that I play everywhere," the youngster said.

"Hopefully I'll get a few more minutes with the first team but also try to win the Youth Champions League and try to win the Under-23s league as well.

"It was down to the club and I'm happy to do whatever they want me to do. I'll work hard and train hard and see where it takes me in the next year."

Woodburn could play for Liverpool when the Under-19s take on Manchester United in the UEFA Youth League on Wednesday.
