A report claims that Joe Cole is hoping to join Queens Park Rangers on a loan basis this winter.

Liverpool midfielder Joe Cole has reportedly indicated that he would like to be reunited with Harry Redknapp at Queens Park Rangers during the January transfer window.

Cole, 31, has struggled to hold down a regular slot in the Liverpool starting lineup since he joined the club on a free transfer from Chelsea in 2010.

Last year he spent the entire campaign on loan with Lille, while this season he has had a lot of time on the bench when fit.

As a result, the former England international has decided that he is eager to return to London and feels that QPR are the best club for him, according to The People.

The R's are managed by Redknapp, who gave Cole his Premier League debut as a 17-year-old at West Ham United.

The report has claimed that talks between the two clubs over a loan move have already taken place.
