Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has revealed that he is speeding up his recovery from injury with ice baths in an effort to regain fitness.
The Argentine forward suffered a knee problem just 10 minutes into the Premier League season after clashing with Southampton full-back Nathaniel Clyne.
It was initially thought that Aguero would face a prolonged spell on sidelines, but he revealed that the healing process is going well.
"I'm feeling better every day. There's a pool of iced water at City's training centre, every time I finish my exercises I have to plunge my leg in for three five-minute spells," he said.
"It's tough, but it helps my recovery a lot. Then at night I'll put a bag of ice on my knee for another 20 minutes."
City boss Roberto Mancini hopes to have his star striker back for their first match after the international break against Stoke City on Saturday, September 15.
