Manuel Pellegrini: 'Sergio Aguero will continue to improve'

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini believes that striker Sergio Aguero can still improve after the Argentine nets twice during his side's 4-1 win at Sunderland.

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has warned the rest of the Premier League by insisting that striker Sergio Aguero still has improvements that he can make in training.

Aguero took his tally for the season to 19 as City thrashed Sunderland 4-1 at the Stadium of Light, and Pellegrini has admitted that he is delighted to see his players accepting his playing style after a poor start to the campaign.

The 61-year-old told BBC Sport: "Sergio is only 26 and he can improve every day. At the moment, we are seeing very high performances from him. Not only is he scoring but he's playing well as well.

"The team is coming again in their performances and all the players are having more trust in what we are doing, but we must continue the same way."

Stevan Jovetic and Pablo Zabaleta netted City's other goals in the North-East.
