Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has said that Nemanja Matic possesses each of the values that he looks for in a player.
On Monday afternoon, United announced that Matic had penned a three-year contract after deciding to leave Chelsea for a fee reported to be somewhere in the region of £40m.
It sees Matic link up with his former manager at Stamford Bridge, and Mourinho is delighted to have completed a deal for the Serbian international.
Mourinho told the club's official website: "Nemanja is a Manchester United player and a Jose Mourinho player. He represents everything we want in a footballer; loyalty, consistency, ambition, team player.
"I would like to thank him for his desire to join us because without that, it would be impossible to have him here. I am sure our players and supporters will love him. A big welcome to our new number 31."
Matic follows Victor Lindelof and Romelu Lukaku in signing for United during the summer transfer window.
