Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is expecting to welcome Wataru Endo back to the ranks for Sunday's Premier League clash with Manchester United at Old Trafford.
The Japan international picked up a knock in the Reds' win over Brighton & Hove Albion on the Easter weekend and did not make the cut for Thursday's beating of Sheffield United.
However, Klopp stressed after the 3-1 triumph that there was a "big chance" of Endo being available for Sunday's game, although seven other stricken players will not be seen on the Theatre of Dreams pitch.
Indeed, Ben Doak (knee), Joel Matip (knee), Thiago Alcantara (muscle) and Stefan Bajcetic (calf) are all out for the long-term, while Diogo Jota (knee), Trent Alexander-Arnold (knee) and Alisson Becker (thigh) should rejoin training next week.
Endo's likely return should see the ex-Stuttgart man slot into his familiar number six role, in turn allowing Alexis Mac Allister - scorer of a thunderbolt in midweek - to operate higher up the pitch with Dominik Szoboszlai.
Ryan Gravenberch would be the man to drop out if that is the case, while no changes should be made to the front three of Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salah, who was not best pleased to come off just before the hour on Thursday.
Having shaken off a blow to the ankle, Andrew Robertson is pushing to displace Joe Gomez at left-back, but Conor Bradley, Caoimhin Kelleher, Ibrahima Konate and Virgil van Dijk should all reprise their roles for a contest of this magnitude.
Liverpool possible starting lineup:
Kelleher; Bradley, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Mac Allister, Endo, Szoboszlai; Salah, Nunez, Diaz
