Manchester United have reportedly been offered the chance to sign Joao Felix during the January transfer window by the Atletico Madrid forward's agent Jorge Mendes.
The 20-time English champions are expected to be in the market for a new attacker at the start of 2023, having recently terminated Cristiano Ronaldo's contract.
Anthony Martial has struggled to stay fit for an extended period this season, and another injury for the Frenchman would leave Marcus Rashford as Man United's only recognised first-team centre-forward.
Barcelona's Memphis Depay and PSV Eindhoven's Cody Gakpo are among the players to be linked with mid-season moves to Old Trafford.
However, the speculation surrounding Felix's future is also gathering pace, with the Portugal international believed to be available for transfer during the winter market.

Felix is currently with the Portugal squad at the 2022 World Cup, and he found the back of the net in their tournament opener against Ghana on November 24.
Fernando Santos's side have progressed to the knockout round of the competition, with Felix set to play an important role for the national team in the remainder of the tournament.
However, he has found it difficult at club level this term, managing only four goals and three assists in 18 appearances in all competitions.
Felix has only started five La Liga matches during the 2022-23 campaign, meanwhile, which has allegedly led to his relationship with Atletico boss Diego Simeone breaking down.

Atletico are also believed to be under pressure to make some big sales next year, with their failure to qualify for the knockout round of the Champions League causing financial problems.
A recent report claimed that Man United were in a three-way battle with Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain for the signature of the Portuguese.
According to Sport, well-known agent Mendes, who represents Felix, has been in touch with the 20-time English champions to offer them the chance to sign his client in January.
The report claims that Atletico would want in the region of £85m for the forward, having paid in excess of £100m to sign him from Benfica in the summer of 2019.
Felix, who has a contract at Wanda Metropolitano until June 2026, has scored 33 goals and registered 18 assists in 129 appearances for his Spanish side in all competitions.
