Simon Kjaer ignoring transfer speculation

Lille centre-back Simon Kjaer plays down talk of a move away from France.

Lille centre-back Simon Kjaer has claimed that he is not interested in speculation linking him with a move away from the French outfit.

Manchester United are one of a number of teams that have been linked with the 25-year-old in recent months.

However, the Denmark international has said that all his "focus and energy" is on Lille.

"It's always nice to know about interest from other big clubs but to be honest rumours like that are not in my thoughts at all right now," he told BT Sport.

"All my focus and energy is on the Lille games and for me personally my concentration is all about achieving my big goal to play in the Champions League with Lille next season."

Kjaer moved to Lille from Wolfsburg last summer.
