Report: Nottingham Forest want Nick Powell

Manchester United midfielder Nick Powell is a loan target for Nottingham Forest, according to a report.

Nottingham Forest are reportedly interested in signing Manchester United midfielder Nick Powell on loan.

The 21-year-old has struggled to make an impact at Old Trafford since moving from Crewe Alexandra in 2012.

Powell was loaned out to Wigan Athletic in the 2013-14 campaign before spending the first half of last season on loan at Leicester City, where he made just three appearances.

According to The Sun, Forest are prepared to take the England Under-21 international on a season-long loan deal.

Championship newcomers Preston North End are also thought to be monitoring his situation.

Powell has played seven times for United during his three years at the club, scoring once.
