Report: Morgan Schneiderlin free to leave Manchester United

A report claims that Manchester United midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin is free to leave Old Trafford in the January transfer window.

Morgan Schneiderlin has reportedly been informed that he can leave Manchester United in the January transfer window.

The France international joined the Red Devils from Southampton in the summer of 2015 and made 39 appearances under Louis van Gaal during his first season at Old Trafford.

The 26-year-old has only played five minutes of Premier League football this season, however, and according to The Sun, he is not in the plans of head coach Jose Mourinho.

The report claims that the central midfielder will be free to seek pastures new at the start of 2017, which has attracted the attention of a number of Premier League clubs.

Schneiderlin did not make the bench for Man United's 4-0 defeat to Chelsea at the weekend.
