George Friend has claimed that he has no intention of leaving Middlesbrough in the summer transfer window.
Recent reports suggested that West Bromwich Albion had failed with a bid for the full-back, but Friend has moved to reassure the club's supporters that he is concentrating on another promotion bid ahead of the new Championship campaign.
"I'm not going anywhere, I love it at Middlesbrough," the 27-year-old told the club's website.
"I haven't seen a lot of the speculation, but you do hear things, and it's a compliment really. I think any player likes interest because it means you've done something right.
"But I'm really happy at the Boro and I can't wait to start again on Monday for what we hope will be a successful season. I'll be giving it my all every game and I can't wait to get going again."
Friend joined Middlesbrough from Doncaster Rovers in the summer of 2012.
