Manchester City midfielder Gareth Barry has said that the club's destiny is in its own hands.
The Citizens were able to maintain their two-point lead at the top of the Premier League this week with a win over Stoke, but the former Aston Villa man knows that there are a number of clubs waiting for them to make a mistake.
"At the moment things are going really well," he said.
"We have set a fast pace in the Premier League but we are still only two points clear at the top. That shows us that there are still other good teams around.
"All the time we are top we know it is in our own hands and we will keep trying to win games."
Roberto Mancini's side, who have lost one league game this season, have dropped seven points altogether.
