Pele returns to hospital two months after surgery

Pele is hospitalised for the third time in a year, as he is reported to have undergone spinal surgery on Thursday in Sao Paulo.

Brazilian great Pele has been hospitalised only two months after having prostate surgery in May.

Pele was reported to have had a condition that creates urinary problems because of an enlarged prostate, with tests finding no tumours a couple of months ago.

However, the 74-year-old is reported to have undergone spinal surgery on Thursday but is said to be recovering well, according to Sky Sports News.

The footballing legend was also hospitalised in December last year, after suffering from a urinary tract infection, which was the result of surgery to remove previous kidney stones.
