Steve Cotterill's return to Fratton Park ends in defeat as goals from Eric Huseklepp and Dave Kitson give Portsmouth victory.

Steve Cotterill's return to Fratton Park as Nottingham Forest manager ended in defeat as Portsmouth came out on top in their bottom-of-the-table clash this afternoon.

Eric Huseklepp opened the scoring for Pompey on the stroke of half-time. The Norwegian winger collected the ball 25 yards out after Hayden Mullins' shot struck the woodwork and curled into the top corner of Lee Camp's goal.

The win was sealed for the hosts when Huseklepp turned provider for Dave Kitson, who headed home 14 minutes from time before Huseklepp scored his second late on to make it three.

Pompey leapfrog Forest and move up five places to 15th, while the away side drop to 20th.
