Carlo Ancelotti: 'Gareth Bale, Cristiano Ronaldo fit for Champions League final'

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti is confident that Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo will both be fit for the Champions League final later this month.

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti is confident that Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo will both be fit for the Champions League final with Atletico Madrid later this month.

Bale has been in and out of the Madrid XI in recent weeks due to illness and a succession of knocks, but is expected to return for the La Liga clash with Espanyol at the weekend.

Ronaldo, meanwhile, has completed just two of Madrid's last nine games in all competitions due to 'muscular fatigue', but Ancelotti has said that the Portuguese has "almost fully recovered".

"Ronaldo underwent treatment this morning and is almost fully recovered," Ancelotti told reporters at a press conference.

"We have a fortnight to prepare for the match and I think they'll be completely fit for the final."

Los Blancos can no longer win the Primera Division title this season after losing 2-0 to Celta Vigo on Sunday.
