Barcelona attacker Lionel Messi has praised the quality of their matches with Real Madrid.
Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo both grabbed a brace as the pair shared the points in a 2-2 draw on Sunday, but the Argentine believes that the matches will continue to get closer.
"We [have] played so often that we know [each other] by heart. It becomes more and more difficult for the two teams, that is why the matches are better," Messi told Fox Sports Radio del Plata.
"It was a nice game against Real Madrid, mostly for people who went to see. It was complicated like all derbies, they could have won and then we could."
Barcelona currently top La Liga with 19 points.
