Erik Lamela 'bids farewell to Tottenham Hotspur teammate Roberto Soldado'

Erik Lamela deletes a tweet in which he bid farewell to Tottenham Hotspur teammate Roberto Soldado, who is thought to be close to joining Villarreal.

Tottenham Hotspur winger Erik Lamela appeared to let slip this morning that teammate Roberto Soldado is leaving the club.

Spanish striker Soldado has been rumoured with a move back to La Liga and was seemingly photographed at Gatwick Airport earlier today.

Lamela sent a tweet with a picture of the two at dinner that said: "I enjoyed these two years that we share, I wish you well in your new club!! Good luck my friend!!"

The winger has now deleted the post. Although he did not reveal where Soldado is going, Villarreal have been linked with a move for the frontman.
