Tottenham Hotspur boss Jose Mourinho has reportedly spoken to Manchester City defender Joao Cancelo about a potential move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The Portugal international only joined City from Juventus last summer but has struggled to secure regular action during the 2019-20 campaign, featuring on just eight occasions in the Premier League.
Spurs could soon be in the market for a new right-back, with Kyle Walker-Peters and Serge Aurier both being linked with moves away from the club during the January transfer window.
According to El Desmarque, Mourinho has had a conversation with his fellow countryman to determine whether he would be interested in a move to Spurs before the transfer deadline.
The report claims that Barcelona are also closely monitoring developments, although the London club are seen as the favourites should the full-back leave the Etihad Stadium.
Cancelo has contributed one goal in 18 outings for Pep Guardiola's side during the current season.
